ANNOTATION: Results from an evaluation of Redeploy Illinois, a pilot program that "provides community-based services in lieu of prison time to non-violent juvenile felony offenders," are reported. The cost per juvenile for Redeploy Illinois is $16,238 while the cost per juvenile incarcerated is $70,827; a savings of $54,589 or 77%.
