ANNOTATION: Pretrial failure to appear (FTA) and re-arrest outcomes for domestic violence (DV) defendants are investigated. Sections comprising this report include: introduction; methodology; pretrial release outcomes for release decisions, FTA, re-arrest, combined rates of pretrial FTA and re-arrest, and summary and discussion of findings; predicting pretrial FTA for DV defendants; predicting pretrial re-arrest for DV defendants; and conclusion. "This study has demonstrated that pretrial misconduct is a serious problem for a significant minority of defendants in DV cases" (p. 59).
