Publication year: 2007 | Cataloged on: Apr. 07, 2007
ANNOTATION: Various risk assessments for sexual offender recidivism are evaluated for accuracy. Sections of this report include: abstract; introduction; method; results; and discussion regarding the consistent accuracy of actuarial approaches versus the variable accuracy of professional judgment and the implication of applied assessments. "For all outcome measures, the most accurate approaches used empirical actuarial measures designed for that specific outcome (sex, violence, any)" (p. 14).
