ANNOTATION: Results from the "first ever statewide survey" of California's juvenile justice system are presented. Sections of the survey final report following the summary report include: brief history of the Juvenile Justice Data Project; methods; findings -- involvement in juvenile justice system interventions in California, county practices, and capacity for evidence-based practices; and conclusions and recommendations related to involvement, county practices, and implications of involvement across the continuum of graduated responses. Eighty-one percent of all juvenile offenders in California's juvenile justice system are under community supervision.
