ANNOTATION: Job satisfaction of Vermont Correctional Officers is investigated. Sections following an executive summary include: introduction; objectives; methodology; results and interpretation according to participation rate, overall Staff Satisfaction Index (SSI), average response per question, summary of narrative comments, facility summaries, and summary of findings; recommendations; and conclusions. "Overall, job dissatisfaction levels are high at all facilities, in all job classifications . . . , and among both new and veteran employees" (p. iii).
