ANNOTATION: Recidivism of ex-offenders in Missouri and effective strategies for reduction of recidivism by community corrections are discussed. Sections after an executive summary are: introduction; methodology; comparison of recidivism rates; community sentencing for sex offenders; and summary and conclusions. It is suggested that Missouri follow Washington State's Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative (SSOSA).
