ANNOTATION: Findings from the California Office of Inspector General regarding the implementation of past recommendations are provided. Sections following an executive summary are: introduction; Division of Juvenile Justice reports; Board of Parole Hearings reports; and response from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Observations made include: the Division of Juvenile Justice has failed to adequately deal with 17% of previous recommendations made; mental health and counseling services have been improved in the Division; and the extent of corrective actions are overstated.
