ANNOTATION: "This handbook is designed to assist policymakers and practitioners in the process of assessing, and strengthening, their sex offender management approaches" (p. 3). Four sections comprise this manual: an introduction to this handbook and to sex offender management; the framework of the planning and implementation process; an overview of the steps in the planning and implementation process; and conclusion -- an ongoing process of collecting and analyzing information. Also included are copies of exhibits, teamwork activities, and appendixes (samples of the adult and the juvenile offender data collection tools and case studies of three jurisdictions utilizing strategies discussed in this handbook).
