ANNOTATION: "This paper examines the way that the Drug Interventions Programme (DIP) engages and directs Class A drug misusers from the point of arrests or charge to the point of treatment, and examines their offending levels before and after identification by DIP" (p. 1). Overall, DIP participation reduced recidivism by 26% with almost half of the group having a 79% decrease in recidivism.
