ANNOTATION: This evaluation is for an "in-prison Therapeutic Community [(TC) that] is an intensive, long-term, highly structured, residential treatment modality for hard-core drug users convicted of a criminal offense" (p. 4). Sections of this report are: executive summary; project description; methods; results according to program descriptions, within-program changes, and recidivism findings; and conclusions and recommendations for post release outcomes, inmate characteristics, treatment process, programmatic variations, information systems, and limitations.
