ANNOTATION: Results of a survey regarding mental health court or jail diversion program operations are presented. Sections following an abstract are: mental health courts in the U.S.; methods; criteria for admittance; work load of the court; participant compliance; treatment and services provided to participants; funding; and conclusions. While 83% of respondents do not accept sex offenders, 41% allow co-occurring disorders.
