ANNOTATION: The perspectives of Texas parolees who graduated from the In prison Therapeutic Community (IPTC) program regarding relapse and recidivism are presented. This dissertation has an abstract and these chapters: introduction; literature review; methodology; results of the study; and summary, conclusions, and recommendations. "'Making it' consist[s] of working the program, meeting with parole officers, dealing with risky behaviors, and remaining committed to a drug free and crime free life" (p. 167).
