ANNOTATION: Results are prepared from an early evaluation of the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) Young Adult Program that finds jobs for 18- to 25-year-olds with problems finding and keeping regular full-time jobs. Sections of this report are: introduction -- an overview of disconnected youth and the workforce; program rationale and participants; program approach -- specialized programming, transitional work, job development, program length and graduation, and a case study; program's success -- participants are 1.5 times more likely to be placed in a job compared to non-participants; lessons learned; and conclusion.
