ANNOTATION: Results from an evaluation of the implementation of the Illinois Going Home Program (GH), which prepares prisoners for their release into their community, are presented. This report contains these sections: executive summary; introduction; a summary of the aims of GH; the Going Home Program; enrollment and participation; the evaluation plan for GH; the promise of GH as a model for ex-prisoner re-integration; challenges that arose during implementation; participants' perspectives on reentry and reentry service; baseline recidivism and employment outcomes for the GH target population; and conclusions and lessons learned.
