ANNOTATION: The development and utilization of the District of Columbia's Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) Supervision and Management Automated Record Tracking (SMART) case management system and its SMART-STAT portal are described. Treatment and intervention programs can be evaluated in order to determine what works to reduce recidivism for particular individuals. Improved automated scheduling and tracking components and performance budgeting are going to be added to the existing computer system.
