ANNOTATION: The recidivism rates are presented for youth released from Oregon's close-custody facilities during the period of fiscal year 2001 through fiscal year 2005. Sections in addition to an executive summary are: what recidivism is; participants and data; analysis; upward trend in all recidivism; males recidivated more than females; ages 16-17 recidivated the most; over-represented minorities experienced higher recidivism; crime category does not heavily influence recidivism; and summary of key findings.
