Standards required for juvenile sex offenders and recommended for juveniles and families seeking intervention for sexually abusive behavior are presented. Sections of these standards are: introduction; guiding principles; definitions; presentence investigations of juveniles who have committed sexual offenses; evaluation and ongoing assessment of juveniles who have committed sexual offenses; standards of practice for treatment providers; qualifications of treatment providers, evaluators, and and polygraph examiners working with juveniles who have committed sexual offenses; establishment of a multidisciplinary team for the management and supervision of juveniles who have committed sexual offenses; additional conditions of community supervision; polygraph examination of juveniles who have committed sexual offenses; victims and potential victims -- clarification, contact, and reunification; informed supervision protocol; Informed Supervision Agreement; informed supervision initial caregiver-juvenile supervision plan; therapeutic care protocol; polygraph examination; responding to polygraph results; plethysmograph examination; denial; special populations; Sex Offender Management Board Administrative Policies; denial of placement on provider list; and synopsis of supporting research.
