Effects of Drug Substitution Programs on Offending Among Drug-Addicts

Sections following an executive summary/abstract include: background of the review; review objectives; methods; findings -- overview, effects of heroin substitution treatment, effects of buprenorphine substitution treatment, Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT), effects of naltrexone treatment, and effects of other substitution treatments; discussion; and conclusion. Heroin maintenance is found to significantly reduce criminal involvement more than methadone maintenance.
