A History of Prison Inmate-Animal Interaction Programs
Publication year:
2003
| Cataloged on:
Aug. 30, 2010
ANNOTATION: The use of animal-facilitated programming in prisons is examined. This is done with a detailed look at historic precedents and current programs. While more research is needed, it appears that animal programs are “an effective cost-saving way of training inmates and keeping them from returning to prison” (p.77).
