Chief Jail Inspector Network
Jul. 18, 2017 - Jul. 19, 2017--This two-day program is designed to build the knowledge and skills of new detention facility inspectors in their core duties of inspecting, consultation, and technical assistance.
The Chief Jail Inspector network meeting is a professional forum, where Chief Inspectors come together and discuss issues relating to the operations and management of Jails. This network meets over the course of two days, and it is scheduled annually at the National Corrections Academy in Aurora, Colorado. This network meeting will include participant generated/facilitated training session, the network will provide training to and of the network in the form of best practices, and lessons learned. There will be updates on Legal, and Civil rights issues, as well as other network services. Open discussion specific to the needs and challenges we face as jail inspectors, to include the recent discussion from the network Focus group. The goal is to provide updated information useful in governing our policies and procedures while maintaining our jail operations in a safe and secure manner through inspections and auditing.
