Assigning Inmates to Housing

Anytime--The Assigning Inmates to Housing course is designed for jail administrators, supervisors, managers and line staff, especially those assigned to classification.

This course compliments NIC's entire inmate behavior management tool kit, including the e-course Objective Jail Classification: Assessing Inmate Risk and Needs and related documents (see: Inmate Behavior Management).

At the end of this course, participants will be able to explain why inmates should be housed with other inmates who have similar characteristics, describe the general categories of inmates who require special housing, define a housing plan, strategically house inmates to better manage their behavior, maintain required separations, and best utilize the jail's physical plan.
