Ken Rose is a National Programs Advisor with the National Institute of Corrections (NIC), Community Services Division with over 34 years of experience with pretrial services and community corrections program implementation at local and state levels. Before joining NIC, Ken’s professional focus was concentrated on pretrial services implementation, including pretrial assessments and other pretrial system advancements. In his role with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, Ken led large implementation projects that included the Virginia Pretrial Risk Assessment – Revised (VPRAI-R). In 2014, Ken received the Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Award for Innovation for his contributions towards pretrial system improvements.
