PREA: Coordinators’ Roles and Responsibilities

The purpose of this course is to provide agency PREA Coordinators with an overview of the basic role and responsibilities of their position.

At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

• Describe the general duties and responsibilities of an agency-wide PREA Coordinator;
• Explain the policies, procedures, and practices needed to achieve PREA compliance;
• Create an action plan for your agency that includes steps needed to achieve PREA compliance;
• and Serve as the point-of-contact for information concerning PREA standards and the agency’s efforts toward PREA compliance.
