Supervisors: This program is geared for their role in implementing and sustaining SIM. It is designed to help them be successful and gives them the opportunity to enhance their supervisory skills. 

For the Housing Officers: The program will prepare them to learn more about SIM as a method of reducing problem offender behavior, determine the most effective way to interact with inmates and develop specific strategies to promote positive inmate behavior. The T4T portion of the training will allow agency trainers to start working with NIC’s training curriculum with SIM instructor guidance.

About Travel-Related Expenses

If participant travel is required, authorized travel-related expenses will be reimbursed within 60 to 90 days of the conclusion of this event. Flights are paid for in advance by NIC. Reimbursable expenses include lodging, per diem (meals and incidentals), baggage, parking, and mileage. Additional details for reimbursable expenses will be provided when travel arrangements are made by NIC.
