JUST Alternatives is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to supporting victims/survivors of violence and violation, and to the advancement of promising Victim-Centered practices in justice and corrections. Our mission is to identify and support effective alternative approaches to reducing violence and victimization in our culture by affirming crime victims’ needs and the power of personal accountability among offenders.

National Center for Victims of Crime

The mission of the National Center for Victims of Crime is to forge a national commitment to help victims of crime rebuild their lives. We are dedicated to serving individuals, families, and communities harmed by crime.

Office on Violence Against Women (OVW)

Building a National Data Collection on Victim Service Providers: A Pilot Test

This report describes the development of the National Census of Victim Service Providers (NCVSP), including the development of the national roster of entities potentially serving victims, the NCVSP data collection instrument, and the implementation and results of a pilot study conducted with 725 entities from the national roster. Results examine the feasibility of obtaining high response rates from different types of victim service providers (VSPs), experimental tests of different procedures for collecting data
