On October 21-22, 2024, Ronald Taylor, Prisons Division Chief at the National Institute of Corrections, moderated a panel on courageous leadership at the inaugural National Justice Convening hosted by Chicago Beyond. The purpose of the meeting was to examine the Chicago Beyond Holistic Safety Framework and to gather input from criminal justice leaders about the process.
Chief Taylor describes courageous leadership as it relates to holistic safety as a comprehensive approach to safety and well-being that focuses on multiple dimensions.
