Much appreciation goes to the Small & Rural Law Enforcement Executive Association (SRLEEA) for its granting of the President's Achievement Award to the National Institute of Corrections. Acting Director Holly Busby and Jails Division Chief Stephen Amos were present to receive the award given in recognition of NIC’s many contributions to training the nation’s small and rural sheriffs. The award was bestowed on July 30th at an annual award ceremony in Petersburg, Virginia.
