The Prison System
As of December 31, 2018, the number of prisoners under the jurisdiction of the State of Wyoming correctional authorities was 2,543 located in 5 state prisons and held in custody of private prisons or local jails. State operated facilities had a staff of 1,240 employees and budget of $133 million.
The Community Corrections System
As of December 31, 2018, Wyoming's community corrections population under probation was 5,383 and parole was 934.

Violent and property crime rates are provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
The number of counties per state comes from the United States Census Bureau.
