As of December 31, 2020, the number of prisoners under the jurisdiction of Wyoming correctional authorities was 2,087 located in 5 state prisons and held in custody of private prisons or local jails. State operated facilities had a staff of 1,240 employees and a budget of $281,768,696.
The Community Corrections System
As of December 31, 2020, Wyoming community corrections population was 5,427 under probation and 954 under parole.
