As of December 31, 2021, the number of prisoners under the jurisdiction of Nevada correctional authorities was 5,511 located in 9 state prisons and held in custody of private prisons or local jails. State operated facilities had a staff of 2,300 employees and a budget of $245,026,442.

The Community Corrections System

As of December 31, 2021, Nevada community corrections population was 11,756 under probation and 935 under parole.
