The Prison System
As of December 31, 2021, the number of prisoners under the jurisdiction of Wyoming correctional authorities was 2,123 located in 5 state prisons and held in custody of private prisons or local jails. State operated facilities had a staff of 1,229 employees and a budget of $289,021,696.
The Community Corrections System
As of December 31, 2021, Wyoming community corrections population was 5,055 under probation and 868 under parole.
