As of December 31, 2022, the number of prisoners under the jurisdiction of Wyoming correctional authorities was 2,154 located in 5 state prisons and held in custody of private prisons or local jails. State operated facilities had a staff of 1,124 employees and a budget of $289,596,111.
The Community Corrections System
As of December 31, 2022, Wyoming community corrections population was 4,690 under probation and 840 under parole.
