The Evidence-Based Workforce Development Series was established to prepare practitioners for certification as an Employment Retention Specialist. The training combines cognitive behavioral interventions with motivational interviewing techniques to address criminogenic risk, the collateral consequences of incarceration, and gainful attachment to the workforce. Emphasizing the importance of a community of practice, participants receive instruction specific to case management strategies and techniques that help connect justice-involved adults to resources and services affecting post-release success.
