Working with Women addresses the unique needs and circumstances of women involved in the criminal justice system, focusing on how they differ from men and how correctional systems should respond. The training adopts a women-centered approach, emphasizing gender-responsive policies, programs, and practices. Since women in the justice system face distinct challenges, including trauma, victimization, and the need for gender-specific rehabilitation, it is critical for correctional agencies to provide effective, compassionate, and rehabilitative responses, leading to better outcomes for female inmates and reduced recidivism.
