Marla Clayton joined the National Institute of Corrections in July 2026. Previously she worked in the Director's Office of the Federal Bureau of Prisons as an Executive Assistant, a Legislative Affairs Specialist, and an Executive Office Coordinator. Prior to joining the Federal Bureau of Prisons, she was a Senior Project Manager with the Criminal Justice Institute where she managed the Association of State Correctional Administrators. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations/International Economics from the American University in Washington, DC.
