National Institute of Corrections Jails Division Chief Stephen Amos was awarded this week with the Sheriff Michael J. Ashe Jr. Award during the 2025 Massachusetts Sheriffs’ Association Law Enforcement & Corrections Awards Ceremony. The award is the highest honor bestowed by the association and recognizes individuals who embody integrity, innovation, compassion, professionalism, and excellence, leading the way within the field of law enforcement and corrections. Each year the Massachusetts Sheriffs’ Association President and Executive Director choose an honoree as the recipient of the award. This year, the prestigious award was presented to NIC Chief Stephen Amos in recognition of his unwavering dedication to the field of corrections.
