NIC, in partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) facilitated phase 1 of Management Development for the Future (MDF) at the Staff Development Academy in Crozier, Virginia, on June 24-26, 2025. The class began with 35 participants from prisons and community corrections. The opening session began at 8 AM on June 24. Fourteen staff from the VADOC executive team participated. All attendees were welcomed by Chief Deputy Director David Robinson. The executive team joined both in person and virtually. VADOC’s training was the first time that executive team members attend an MDF opening session virtually.
