Description of the Program
Facilitation of a 2.5 day session at the 2026 Community Criminal Justice Board Forum, which is being hosted by Virginia’s Department of Criminal Justice Services.
The participants include teams of three roles from each of Virginia’s 37 CCJBs, for an estimated 120 participants:
- CCJB Chair
- Criminal Justice Planner / Data Analyst
- Local Community‑Based Probation and/or Pretrial Services Director.
Objectives of the Forum:
- Each CCJB team leaves with a local action plan to present to their board
- Strengthened statewide consistency in CCJB operations.
- A scalable training approach DCJS can replicate in future years.
- Enhanced national understanding of CCJB/CJCC challenges through partnership with NIC.
