September 16th from 1 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST
This webinar will provide an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) regulations relevant to correctional facilities. Presented by front-line ADA coordinators working in local and state correctional agencies, this webinar will provide information on frequently used terms, common misinterpretations of ADA implementation and compliance, and available resources to provide guidance on managing the accommodation and accessibility needs of persons in custody. Participants will engage in an interactive case study exercise facilitated by the National ADA Coordinators Information Sharing Group to encourage collaborative interaction and dialogue of current strategies used by local and state correctional agencies to ensure ADA compliance.
