There are many policies and practices that are important for correctional facilities to adopt for child-friendly and family-centered video visiting programming. The following strategies are informed by research on visiting and maintaining family connections, as well as input from practitioners and administrators through a survey of Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children grantees on their capabilities for visiting and related challenges they experience.
