Glenn Watson serves as a National Programs Advisor for the National Institute of Corrections Jails Division, a role he assumed in November 2014. Mr. Watson's distinguished corrections career began in 1993 with the U.S. Marine Corps. Through dedicated service and increasing responsibility, he culminated his military career as the Commanding Officer of the correctional facility at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, retiring in 2014.
Mr. Watson currently manages the National Sheriff’s Institute (NSI), a comprehensive training initiative exclusively for the nation’s sheriffs, overseeing its Leadership Development, Jail Leadership, and Communicating for Impact courses, as well as the NSI Expansion Initiative and the Sheriff Wellness Initiative.
