In Case You Missed It! -- Naloxone Administration E-Course

The NIC e-course Naloxone Administration was released in spring 2023 and has shown significant gains in awareness about the opioid epidemic among those who take the course. The course has also proven to be a useful tool for outreach about the epidemic as the crisis continues to bare its presence.

Naloxone Administration provides participants with cognizance and instruction about how to manage individuals in need of assistance from opioids. Participants learn how to identify withdrawal signs and symptoms as the course teaches them how to address an opioid overdose with lifesaving methods. Since its release, the course has registered over 250 completions.

Naloxone Administration ranks 25th in popularity out of over 70 NIC-specific corrections topics courses. This course meets the requirements for certification of the application of Naloxone. Enroll in the e-course by logging onto the NIC Learn Center
