Gangs (Security Threat Groups)

Gangs remain a persistent issue in the criminal justice system. This page provides research on gang-related corrections topics, including prison gang slang, inmate management strategies, and intervention programs.

The National Gang Center (NGC) estimates there are approximately 30,000 gangs and 850,000 gang members across the United States.

A special thanks goes to Lubbock County Detention Center for the photograph.
