Women who are implicated in or convicted of the commission of a crime.
- This study involved an assessment of the relevance of women’s background characteristics for predicting their offending in prison.
- Correctional administrators need to understand the different paths and levels of risk of women offenders to improve outcomes for them. Technical assistance is available to local jurisdictions to examine and improve their responses to this population.
- In this technical assistance project, the NRCJIW designed and delivered a series of multidisciplinary training events for staff, as well as others working with justice-involved women in Maricopa County; and provided project staff with additional written and electronic resources relevant to their work with justice-involved women.
