Correctional Case Management for Jails presents an approach to collecting and maintaining social and behavioral information about inmates upon their entry into and during their incarceration. The training familiarizes participants with the fundamentals of correctional case management in jails, reviews the stages of case management, emphasizes the importance of standardized documentation in the delivery of jail services, and highlights the role of intake and classification staff from intake screening to the discharge planning process to reentry back to the community.
The course is designed for staff who work with inmates during booking, intake, and/or pretrial (bail review & pretrial supervision, classification, case management, etc.
