The Crisis Intervention Teams - Jails & Prisons program is a 40-hour instructor-led, in-person training where participants are taught how to identify and reduce crises, improve safety, and promote better outcomes for individuals with serious mental illness or trauma histories. This training provides correctional facilities with evidence-based tools, strategies, and techniques to manage mental health-related crises effectively. The training is critical because it helps create safer environments for both staff and incarcerated individuals, reducing incidents of violence and improving rehabilitation outcomes.
