The Criminal Justice Coordinating Councils (CJCC) training is a topical, leadership initiative designed for CJCC Chairs and Directors. The program involves approximately 40 hours of hybrid training. The training will focus on the NIC Essential Elements for CJCCs as well as building collaborations with system partners. To date, there is no other training provided for this leadership group, and it will be the first of its kind. This training will improve the efficacy in planning of local criminal justice systems. It will be a team training, for stakeholders to learn in a positive collaborative environment. There are no prerequisites for this course. The course is designed for CJCC leaders. This program is currently being developed and training is expected to begin in mid-2026. Additional details will be available soon.
Five to six jurisdictions with established CJCCs will be selected to participate in the pilot training which will include in-person and virtual sessions. Two instructors with subject matter expertise will deliver the training.
