Description of the Program

This National Institute of Corrections Communicating for Impact course is an intensive three-day training program designed to enhance a correctional leader's ability to inspire, motivate, inform, build trust, and effectively lead change in a manner that promotes their organization's vision and values. Through engaging discussions and practical exercises, attendees will delve into critical aspects of both internal and external communications, strategies for effectively communicating change efforts, impactful written communications, and navigating the complexities of media coverage. The curriculum includes hands-on practical exercises such as simulated press conferences and virtual interviews, providing invaluable real-world experience. Participants will be better equipped to develop a communications strategy tailored to their specific organization, empowering them to maximize their impact and achieve their strategic objectives.
