Facilitating Behavior Change gives corrections staff who interact regularly with individuals in correctional custody the tools to help people change negative behaviors to positive behaviors. Helping individuals change negative behaviors to positive behaviors can improve release planning and reentry outcomes. This training is offered to state corrections agencies and Federal Bureau of Prisons staff, resulting in a productive, engaging mix between federal and state perspectives. This hybrid, 40-hour training shows staff how to use incentives, positive reinforcements, motivational interviewing, and progressive discipline among other strategies.

This training is designed for federal, state, and local correctional case managers, officers, and unit managers.
