The Justice Involved Veterans Network is responsive to issues related to working with veterans who are in the local criminal justice system. The focus is to better understand the justice-involved veteran and their issues related to military service, in order to more effectively work with this population in the justice system - and by doing so, increase public safety and reduce recidivism. It is made up of state and local service agencies who services the veterans groups. The group met virtually in FY25 and will meet in FY26.
